Cream Tea On Sunday 5th July 2009

CREAM TEA AT 3PM ON SUNDAY 5TH JULY 2009 AT "LITTLE ACRE" MEOPHAM

IN AID OF THE PROVINCIAL GRAND MASTER'S CHARITIES.

The weather was very kind to us. It turned out to be a lovely afternoon when 26 Oddfellows and 14 friends and family of the P.G.M.enjoyed for the cost of £3, a glass of Pimm's followed by sandwiches, scones jam and cream with cups of tea in the surroundings of a lovely garden.

Waitress service was provided by Sophia, Lauren, Jacinta and Charlotte.

There was a raffle with loads of prizes and Bro.Tony Denton, donated one of his paintings which was raffled separately and was won by Sis.Marje Wadlow.

Sis.Vera James made some raspberry jam and orange marmalade for sale.

Sis.Pauline Josling from the Lord Holmesdale Lodge donated some Passion Flowers to be sold.

The whole event raised £337.40p for the P.G.M's charities.

The last guest left at 7pm and as they all left, they all expressed how much they enjoyed themselves, which was very satisfying for the P.G.M. her daughter Lorraine and son in law Doug who kindly opened their garden for the event.
